05/07/10 Free coaching support to help set up your own business
The SEED project is run by Chichester College for SEEDA (South East England Development Agency) in Brighton and Hove and is funded by the European Social fund. The project offers free business enterprise coaching support to help young people aged 19+ set up their own business.
Interested applicants must live in the Brighton, Hove and Shoreham area, not working or working under 16 hours and not already registered with HMRC as self-employed.
The coaching provides people with an opportunity to explore if self-employment is for them. Areas looked at include confidence and motivation and what barriers there might be that would stop an individual from taking the steps toward self-employment. There are around six sessions of one to one coaching which provide support in an environment where people can voice concerns and ideas.
