- Description: The Alternative Learning Community is a new third sector ‘not for profit’ learning provider that delivers unique and innovative programmes for adults who are unemployed or in life transition periods. We work with the most disadvantaged communities in known areas of deprivation in Crawley, Adur and Worthing. We help those who are in greatest need to gain the confidence to move forward in life, to become independent and active citizens who progress to further learning, community activity, volunteering, self-employment and paid employment. Our unique, informal and holistic approach to inclusion ensures everyone is fully supported and part of an organisation that passionately believes in the equality of opportunity for all, where the power of learning equals empowerment and where ‘creativity’ generates new and unique opportunities where everyone learns from each other and no stone is left unturned!

- Description: Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre is a 36 acre open-air site set in the heart of the South Downs. Since 1979 the site has been owned by WSCC and has been dedicated to preserving the industrial heritage of the South East. It now comprises of over 40 buildings housing a range of exhibitions. The organisation, registered charity no. 278722, was established to operate the museum at Amberley with the aim of preserving and restoring artefacts of interest and importance that might otherwise have been destroyed, to maintain and develop the unique collections and by exhibitions, demonstrations, lectures printed publications and other means, to educate the public in the tools, inventions, technologies, customs and social history of previous generations.
